Old Albuquerque Municipal Airport
about 1940: The
fireplace was originally in the middle of a wall with frescos on either
side, a painting in the middle of the chimney, wooden doors, comfy WPA-made
furniture and rugs, more like a living room than an airport terminal!
Everything but the fireplace is gone, and the fireplace itself has been
relocated a corner.
