United States Parcel Post Building, 1100 E Main Street, Richmond, Virginia. “This building is five stories and a basement in height and was carried with P.W.A. aid except for the two upper floors which were added later. In addition to the Post Office Department it houses units of the War and Navy Departments, Internal Revenue, Federal Housing, Bureau of Public Roads, Social Security, Alcohol Tax, and Interstate Commerce Commission. The building under the P.W.A. contract was completed in in June 1936 at a cost of $610,000.”[1]
