The Henry Hudson Parkway, northbound lane at about 105th Street, showing the sliver of Riverside Park that is available between the Parkway the River for runners and bikers, called Cherry Walk, built in 2001 with federal funds on land that was created by the New Deal in the 1930s by filling in the river as part of the construction of the Henry Hudson Parkway. Prior to 2001 the same strip of land was used by runners who made their own dirt path through its high grass and weeds. More about running in Riverside Park here.
